“I feel compelled to create ~ It makes my heart sing ~ I love it ~ I’m always so grateful when my work finds a place in the heart and life of another.”

My story

My artistic story began as a child spending time with my grandparents on their farm in Kiama NSW. Their home was nestled on the hilltops overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was filled with the scent of fresh flowers, ripe stone fruit, and always hints of linseed oil wafting down from my grandfather’s art studio.

My grandparents loved, lived and valued a slow and creative life. There was always a sense of something new being created ~ either a jumper being knitted, food being prepared for slow cooking on the stove, a new garden bed being sown, or a work in progress in the art studio. It was here that I instinctively identified with this soulful connection to life and the landscape and I began to paint! Their legacy and these early teachings of art practice and family values are woven subconsciously into every artwork I produce, and remain a constant inspiration.

My story now includes my own children and grandchildren. My works savour memories and moments of times spent with family. The inspiration for my works stretch from Kiama to Bondi, to the vineyards of Northern Italy and the tropics of Darwin ~ cooking, exploring, creating and growing. The joyful and subconscious connections to these precious moments with family spring into my artworks and always surprise me!

Thank you for being here…

Love from,

“I chose this painting for my home because it’s just happy. It’s happy…It’s on the wall…and it’s just happy!”
