Frangipani with Shells
There is a gentle pull in this collection that almost leads you by the hand and takes you along a coastal walk ~ finding shells along the way and flowers as you walk back home.
You can almost feel the tropical air and smell the freshly picked Frangipani flowers scattered on the kitchen table with the handful of shells! I used this inspiration for this painting, and love the way the pink tablecloth background brings out all the soft subtle ochres and whites in the flowers and shells. The colours have been layered thickly across the canvas.
