New Blooms

My floral collections are abstract and floaty these are works that have been described as “the eternal bunch of flowers” ~ exuding the feeling of bringing the garden inside.

Each flower flourishing in the garden is a sign of new growth. Flowers are universally given as a show of caring or respect for another. They are symbols of nurturing and love

My inspiration comes from my travels, bike rides, daily walks and my own garden ~ There are always beautiful flowers to be found along the way…this painting is a reminder to stop and take in the beauty around us every day, and to celebrate ‘the little things’ in life.

Painted in an abstract impressionistic style, this painting depicts the joy of finding new blooms in the garden and along coastal walks. New buds are mixed with blooms with a floaty array of colours ~ I love the way the colour pallet dances its way onto the Italian linen, until the colours all find a happy balance ~ I like to let the painting evolve and be guided by the energy of the process.
