Cosy and Flourishing, 2019
Cosy and Flourishing
This painting was one of the first floral painting that I created for my exhibition held in Darwin in 2019. I love the way the colours are so harmonious and seem to just dance together around the linen.
The delight in finding beautiful floral blooms in the garden to paint is so inspiring, and sometimes a painting is just there in your subconscious awaiting to come into existence…unhurried and in its own timing.
This work has the feeling of a cosy hug. I love the way that this piece of artwork transforms a space; bringing in the feeling of flourish, life and thriving…yet allowing the viewer to sense an invitation to calm and slow their nervous system down, take a deep breath in and feel the day.
